Love working with children and helping little ones learn through play? Join our team as a Childcare Coordinator and be a part of our growing non-profit! Overseeing the childcare attendants, you’ll help run the child-minding portion of our events and programs for single moms and their children.


  • Develop and implement childcare programs that meet the diverse needs and interests of Kaleo children, supporting their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development:
    • Programs take place at Kaleo events, including monthly Kaleo Connect events, special events, and other gatherings as needed (primarily evening and weekend hours).
  • Create an ongoing monthly calendar of kids programming, ensuring it is planned and executed within budget.
  • Provide leadership and work collaboratively as a team with childcare attendants, staff, and volunteers during events.
  • Schedule, lead, and support childcare attendants to provide the highest quality of childcare to our families.
  • Supervise all child and youth programming/activities, ensuring the health and safety of all children.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and child records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and confidentiality requirements.
  • Develop event safety plans and protocols for each event using a supplied event safety planning form (e.g., muster points, first aid kits).
  • Coordinate and oversee each event, quickly solving problems while super-serving our families.
  • Adhere to child/staff ratios, adjusting as necessary to ensure ratios are always met.
  • Provide wrap-up reports and recommendations.
  • Make every person feel welcome, accepted, and valued.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Availability on weekends for events and occasional weekday evenings for fill-in if needed, including in-person and online events.
  • A fun and engaging personality!

Other Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in childcare
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Child Intervention Record Check
  • Valid Driver’s License
