Join our growing non-profit helping single moms and their children! In this exciting role, you’ll oversee all Kaleo Programming and events, including our weekly Single Mom Support Group, Therapeutic Sessions, Kaleo Connect Events, Signature events, and more. As an experienced people manager, you’re a strong leader who knows how to inspire, motivate, and mentor others.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership, Kaleo staff, and volunteers to create exceptional Kaleo experiences.
  • Manage, support, and nurture a team of part-time employees to bring these experiences to life.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all Kaleo programming, including:
    • Single Mom Resource Course
    • Single Mom Support Group
    • Signature events
    • Kaleo Connect Events
    • Other workshops and programs as needed
  • Book and/or approve venues, speakers, and guests (when required).
  • Create a calendar of programming for Kaleo Mom Members in collaboration with your team.
  • Collaborate on social media strategies and content to promote events, assist with post creation, and engage with online communities to raise awareness of Kaleo programs and events.
  • Provide budgeting and reporting to ensure goals are met and resources are managed effectively.
  • Develop and/or approve event safety plans and protocols (e.g., muster points, first aid kits).
  • Coordinate and oversee each event, quickly solving problems while super-serving our families.
  • Actively engage and build our mom community.
  • Provide regular reporting on participant metrics and make recommendations.
  • Assess team performance, provide necessary coaching, authorize work schedules, and manage volunteers.
  • Ensure every person, staff member, and volunteer feels welcome, accepted, and valued.
  • Perform other duties as required, including occasional evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications

  • Related degree or diploma.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in related roles.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team.

  • Child Intervention record check.
  • Valid driver’s license.
