Kaleo Collectives founder Layna has done such an amazing job of building a community for single mothers to share, learn, and grow in a safe space. Whatever life reasons brought us to single parenthood, it's refreshing to know that we are not alone, and the Kaleo community aleviates the heaviness of 'single', allowing us to embrace 'motherhood'. This afternoonI attended a heartwarming, lovely, and thoughtful event at Londonderry Mall for mothers Day. Every part of the event hosted by Kaleo Collective was carefully thought out to give us mothers a chance to feel special, and that's exactly how I felt! The event had a large closed off area for children, in which they could craft up cards, and select gifts and present it alongside a beautiful bouquet of flowers, giving them the resources and opportunity to showcase their art and love for us. While they were working on their gift, I was able to enjoy refreshments and pick out a gift from a range of luxury brand makeupfrom Anastasia to Burberry and Gucci. We ended our experience at the photobooth and received a photo from the professional photographers that I will cherish! Thank you for your efforts and time!

How do I write about Kaleo Collective without tears?As a solo-single Mama I have a lot of weight on my shoulders. And although I have a great support system, the network and connections I’ve gained through the Kaleo Family are invaluable.Kaleo is a community where Mamas can come together and feel fully accepted without judgement, bond though shared experiences and share knowledge and resources.In turn, we’re enabling each other, ourselves and our children.The kids not only see their Mamas learning and gaining self-efficiency and self-esteem, they also see us being powerfully vulnerable as we lean on each other for support. They are learning through the most powerful means: the example of their Mamas and adult loved-ones. They also have the opportunity to feel really special through events and activities, and to make their Mamas feel special by giving back to them by participating in Little Santas and Love Your Mama.I am so happy to see Kaleo growing and having the ability to offer more and different programs, and to be able to support more Mamas as it grows.I highly recommend joining the family as a Mama, a volunteer or a donor!Thank you Layna for sharing your heart, your ENTHUSIASM, and your family with us. This group has been a support system in so many ways. I may not always be ableto attend all of the wonderful options they offer but to know that there is always something to look forward to has been comforting and amazing. There are many special woman who organize and support all of us and the members in this group are also so supportive. After finding myself unexpectedly in the role of single mom, I felt lost, uncertain and scared. I didn't know where I would be able to go for support, for healing, for connection and for community. I was recommended to look into Kaleo Collective and joined their beautiful online community, jumping in with both feet, feeling I had nothing to lose. What I didn't realize was how much I would gain. A sense of purpose, a sense of worth, a sense of direction. I have found my chosen family and they have (and continue to) helped me heal. They have provided a space in which to love and be loved on by other moms who understand the unique journey of being a single parent. They have loved on my daughter in a way I can only describe as magical. I have gained resources, knowledge, skills, and most of all, friends who are more like family. Through different exercises, you will learn how to form new habits, hold yourself accountable to new changes and become aware of past actions through reflection and exploring your relationship to money. Be brave, this is the next step for you on your journey. It is time for you to move forward. If this is not a new ideal for you on this journey, let this be a good reflection piece to shine a light in your corners. How can you elevate yourself further through this course, how can you fine tweak your actions? I had no idea really what to expect when I signed up for the Single Moms Resource program, only that I wanted to connect with other single Mamas. Kaleo Collective is a amazing resource for single parents but not only that it’s a community, of single moms who support each other, and build each other up, as well as deliver amazing courses, that help get you on the right path to rediscovering yourself as a single parent, and help you refocus where you need to in what you need at the hardest time in your life, as well they do amazing things for your kiddos. I was brought up with the message to look after yourself because nobody else will. So when I became a single mom in a foreign country, I assumed I was on my own again. Until faith made my path cross with Layna and Kaleo. I didn’t need help financially, I didn’t need help raising my daughter and I thought I didn’t need support. I just wanted to help the charity because I realized many single moms do need this support. But in connecting with Layna, I realized how valuable Kaleo and all these moms are. I have found friends and have made connections I would have never thought possible. I feel so much stronger and have so much support now that I have found this group, it is truly a blessing.Kaleo to me, is not a charity, it is a community. Where do I even begin? Kaleo deserves more than just five stars. Kaleo has created such an amazing support system for single moms. It’s a support system that provides you the tools, resources and confidence to keep you going when you sometimes feel you can’t. Layna has a heart of gold and truly the most loving, kind, generous and over all amazing person I’ve ever met. She makes every single person feel important, empowered and loved. I’ve gained some amazing friends and support systems through Kaleo and like I said, there aren’t enough stars to show how amazing Kaleo really is.
